Background: Flipkart's biggest sale event of the year, The Big Billion Days, took place in the month of September. During this pre-diwali season, when most online and offline brands hold flagship sales of the year, the objective was to break the clutter and reveal the biggest offers to the audience.

Ideation: Facebook LIVE garners 10 times more engagement than standard videos (source: Adweek). People spend 3x more time on a live video, when compared to standard videos (Source: Social Media Today). We decided to bet high on this for Flipkart's biggest sale. But we chose to not use it in the conventional way brands use this format. Just like we brought in the use of innovation in last year's Facebook 360 video created for the same purpose, we took LIVE and packaged it creatively as a game show.

Execution: Dentsu Webchutney along with Flipkart collaborated with Facebook to release the first ever LIVE game show - The Big Billion Game Show. It was essentially a dumb charades game played LIVE on Facebook to reveal the top offers of the sale. India's top internet sensations, Jose Covaco, Mallika Dua, Rahul Subramanian and Karan Talwar, featured in the LIVE video to enact the offers while the audience had to guess these offers on-the-spot to win big. The video garnered over 2 million consolidated views.
